Plymouth - July14-16
A weekend with some good mates, who live down in Plymouth, came at the perfect time. The weather was hot, it was the end of a stressful week, and we really needed to relax a bit.
It began on a poor note, with a disgusting performance by our supposed Springbok rugby team. What they have been doing at practice I am really not sure of. Possibly focusing a bit too much on their hair products, which could be the result of Percy still being in the team. My suggestions, lose Jake, get somebody in who will control these undisciplined idiots, and stop treating these guys as hero's. They seriously need to prove themselves. If you don't do a good job, you should lose it.
We spent saturday afternoon feasting on a fantastic picnic spread at Mount Edgecumbe, a beautiful park on the Devon coastline. Later on in the evening we caught the Mount Batten ferry, and had a few drinks at a busy pub, with a view back towards Plymouth, and the setting sun.
On sunday we made our way to Noss Mayo, a village situated at a picturesque ocean inlet. We walked for around an hour and a half along the coast, enjoying the warm weather and beautiful views. The downside to the walk was that we were attacked by a never-ending swarm of knits. These I have come to realise are reincarnated chav's, and are unbelievably irritating. We arrived at our pub stop just in time to quench the thirst with an ice cold Magners, and enjoyed a good lunch. Afterwards we made our way to a pretty sandy beach, and I got the swim I have been waiting so long for. A great weekend on the coast, thanks Eugene and Heidi.
