Light Aircraft Flying - 4/5 June
Jacks and I headed down to Cheltenham to stay with her gran for the weekend of the 4th and 5th of June. We arranged for her flying lesson to be on the Saturday morning, at the Gloucester airport(which is a short drive from her gran's place). The weather was a bit dodgy, but we phoned to confirm, and they said that besides being a bit windy, it would be OK. We arrived, and after no time at all, Jacks found herself shoved into the front seat, and buckled in. Her gran and I went off to get a view of the whole thing, and before long they came driving past us. The pilot showed Jacks a couple of things, but said that he wanted to show her more when they were airborne. Next thing they were off. The pilot took off, showed jacks the controls, and told her to fly. She was gone for about 25 minutes, and when we saw her after she was very chuffed. I think we will be doing this again some time in the future.
